OPENING TIMES & TICKETS

 

What are the opening times of the Museum?
Sunday – Thursday 10:30am – 11.00pm
Friday & Saturday 10:30am – 12:00am

Last tickets are sold two hours before closing time. Guests will not be permitted to enter the galleries after the last tickets are sold. We stop selling tickets two hours prior to the Museum closing to give guests sufficient time to view all of the galleries inside.

 

Do I have to purchase my tickets in advance?
You can purchase your tickets in advance online or on the day of your visit at our Box Office.

 

Do you offer student or military discounts?
We offer a $2 discount for guests with student or military ID. Discounts can only be processed onsite in our box office.

 

Do you offer group discounts? 
Group visits are available at reduced rates for groups of ten or more people and can be scheduled during regular hours. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Please email us via the contact us page to make a reservation.

 

I purchased my tickets online, do I need to print them out?

You can print your tickets out or show the QR code on your phone.

 

What is your cancellation policy for Museum tickets purchased online?
We will fully refund ticket purchases if cancelled 7 days prior to ticket date. After this time, tickets will be valid for 90 days, however cannot be refunded.

 

What is your cancellation policy for Virtual Reality Experience tickets?
We will fully refund ticket purchases if cancelled 7 days prior to ticket date. After this time, you may contact us to secure a more suitable appointment for the future. If you miss your Virtual Reality reservation without notifying us in advance we cannot reschedule or refund your experience.

 

Can I experience Jump for Joy or the Virtual Reality Experience without a Museum ticket?
The Virtual Reality Experience and Jump for Joy: Bouncy Castle of Breasts are separately ticketed attractions which cannot be purchased unless you hold a general admission ticket.

 

Do I need a ticket to enter the store or bar?
The Museum of Sex store and bar are both available to the general public.

 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

What should I expect from the Museum?
The Museum of Sex is an immersive and educational experience including science, history, and art exhibits. We offer variety of fun and cultural exhibits that showcase different perspectives on sexuality.

 

How long should I allow to visit the Museum?
On average guests spend 60 – 90 minutes visiting the Museum.

 

Is there an age restriction to visit the Museum of Sex?
You have to be 18 years old to enter the Museum. Unfortunately we cannot make any exceptions.

 

Do I need ID to enter the Museum?
As you have to be over 18 years old to enter the Museum, you may be asked to show ID to verify your age.  Suitable forms of ID include state-issued drivers license or ID card, passports or green card.

 

Do I need to show my ID for attractions within the Museum?
Visitors are required to present their ID and sign a waiver to experience the Jump for Joy and Virtual Reality Experiences.

 

Can I take photographs or videos in the galleries?
You may use small hand-held devices to take photographs and videos (without flash) in the Museum galleries providing you do not interfere with the experience or enjoyment of other guests. You may be asked to leave the Museum if you violate this policy.

 

Guests with commercial-grade video or photography equipment, and/or guests intending on using photos & videos for commercial use must seek prior approval from our press team.

Does the store have on-site pickup facility?
If you visit our online store, you can select on-site pickup at checkout.

 

Do you hold workshops?
Yes we do, the Museum hosts regular educational workshops covering many topics. Workshops our hosted by licensed sexual educators who are members of our staff. See our Events Page for upcoming workshops.

 

How do I know what I need? Are staff trained and can help me?
Our sales team is highly trained and approachable. They are knowledgable about all of the products we carry, and will provide advice and guidance to ensure you find the right product to fit your needs.

 

 

ACCESSIBILITY

 

Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?
It is with regret that at the current time, only the Retail Store and Bar are wheelchair accessible. We are working to resolve this.

Can I bring my service animal to the Museum?
Service animals are welcome.

 

 

FACILITIES


Do you offer a coat check facility?
We do not allow large bags, backpacks or umbrellas into the galleries, therefore we provide a complimentary coat check for ticket holders.
