THE MUSEUM OF SEX, LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF 233 FIFTH AVENUE AND 27TH STREET WILL BE INTERVIEWING FOR THE GALLERY ATTENDANT POSITION ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7TH FROM 2PM TO 4PM

Scope of Job:
To ensure that Museum guests have an awesome experience whilst visiting the Museum and its galleries through
proactively welcoming guests, responding to questions and offering guidance. The Gallery Attendant position
will also ensure guest flow is managed effectively; guiding visitors to additional galleries, resolving queries,
complaints and ensuring the best possible service is given at all times.
Main responsibilities including but not limited to:
To ensure excellent timekeeping at start of shift and during allocated breaks
To adhere to the Dress Code Policy
To ensure lanyard or name badge is always worn
Not to use cell phones or other electronic devices (other than those provided by the Museum for work whilst in the guest facing areas of the Museum)
To adopt a friendly, approachable demeanor
Curious, passionate, knowledgeable and a customer champion
Welcome guests, giving eye contact and saying hello
Monitor the guest journey through the museum, approach and assist as required
To proactively learn about the exhibits and be able to talk to guests about the content with ease
Actively approach guests where appropriate to provide information or guidance
Politely promote the ‘PLEASE REVIEW US’ feedback cards without being pushy
Ensure all walkways and stairwells are clear and free from trash or obstructions
Maintaining a visible presence in the work area to which they are assigned, undertaking frequent walks rounds and basing themselves at the agreed location
Ensure galleries are clean, free of trash and that exhibits cases are clean and free from finger marks
Facilitate traffic flow and ensure customers can find their way throughout the Museum
Protect the integrity of galleries from customer damage
Politely communicate to guests as closing time approaches so their visit is not affected
Alert the manager on duty of damage or attraction down time that is likely to affect guest satisfaction
Attraction specific (Jump for Joy, Virtual Reality etc),:
Process customer admissions to attraction exhibits including waiver, ticket scanning, locker allocation for guest belongings, and general maintenance.
Perform maintenance including but not limited to: completing daily inspections and start procedures, performing necessary maintenance prior to opening or after closure,
